ELGIN PRIDE FESTIVAL JUNE 5, 2021
We are really excited to be planning the first Pride Parade & Festival in Elgin, Illinois in 2021! Our goals are to provide a safe, inclusive, family-friendly environment accessible to all who would like to attend, in the downtown area of Elgin. You are invited to be a part of the first LGBTQIA+ PRIDE event in Elgin, Illinois!
Many of the surrounding suburbs have held Pride events in past years, and now Elgin will be joining the ranks! Neighboring suburbs such as Aurora and Buffalo Grove have seen attendance of over 7,000 people. With thousands of community members expected to attend this fun, family-friendly LGBTQIA+ celebration, this is the perfect opportunity to have your business or organization in front of thousands potential customers, and get in on the ground floor of something beneficial for the whole community! We strive to make this festival and related events family-friendly experiences, physically and financially accessible to all who would like to attend. We need your help to make this possible!
We will have events spanning a full weekend, including a parade, festival and marketplace, documentary screening with a follow-up panel discussion, a PRIDE concert, queer dance party, interfaith service, and community meal! We will also be planning some smaller events later in the month. We want to fill out Pride weekend with events to keep patrons hanging out and exploring our beautiful city!
Your donations make all of this possible. We really want to show the LGBTQIA+ community of Elgin and the surrounding areas how much we love them, and unify our community. Your contribution to this amazing community cause is greatly appreciated. Every donation goes toward benefiting the 2020 ELGbtq+ PRIDE-related events, and your support encourages the patronship of downtown Elgin’s businesses throughout the weekend. We hope to spread the word on how amazing and welcoming Elgin is!
Side Street Studio Arts will be acting as a fiscal agent. They are a registered 501(c)(3), so any donations will be tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

PARTICIPATE IN THE PARADE
Have a group or organization that wants to participate in the parade? Floats, music, and performances (ie dancing, singing, or playing instruments) are highly encouraged (but not required). Walking groups are also acceptable! Express yourself! We also encourage you to hand out coupons, candy, or other promotional items for your business or group. Let us know if you have ideas or questions! There is no limit on the number of participants per group. The more the merrier!

We are also accepting vendor applications for the festival marketplace! Vendors must supply their own tents/tables and any other necessary supplies. We will not have electricity available. Vendor spaces are 10'x10', and you can bring as much as you can fit in that area! Food trucks are allowed a larger space. Click here to apply.
Vendor fee: $60
We are accepting applications for the food trucks and other food vendors! All vendors must supply their own tents/tables or other necessary supplies. Vendor spaces are 10'x10', not including food trucks, which will have parking space. ALL food vendors must have a temporary food service permit from the city. If you require power, you will have to bring your own power source, as our available power is limited.
